Biography

Hello! My name is Fady Zaher and I am – first and foremost – a music lover! I started playing music when I was 6 years old. Born in Cairo, Egypt, I was exposed to music from all over the world. I  also performed music on various Egyptian TV channels since I was at the age 10. I always loved creating my own melodies and beats in many different styles. In 1999, my family moved to New Jersey, where I went to High School and played the bassoon and the tuba. My love for music grew deeper especially in college, where I studied Music Education at The College of New Jersey, specializing in the bassoon and Instrumental Music Education. I also studied Electronic Music, Orchestration, Instrumentation and Scoring for Motion Picture. During my studies, I have composed and arranged various short pieces that were performed around the world. I also have experience in Musical Theatre; acting, directing, casting, stage managing and working in audio/light tech. Since 2007, I have directed, accompanied and served with countless adult church choirs in the Northeast. In 2012, I started teaching Vocal and General Music in Elementary and Middle Schools which allowed me to work with students of varying ages. So far, I have had the privilege to educate more than 5000 musicians with varying ages and skill levels. I have received and was nominated to receive various local, regional, national and international awards; including: Who’s Who national award, SAO Talent Show, Film Festival Nominations, Best Supporting Actor in two separate musicals, Most Dedicated Opera Theatre Member and more. My uniquely eclectic music experience allows me to work with Directors, Producers, Singers, Actors, Instrumentalists, Media Creators, and other creative Artists. I have composed and produced music in many styles, including: Orchestral, Christian, Hip Hop, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Ethnic and much more. Check out some of my work and my affiliations!
